Compliance program gaps

Every business covered by the PCMLTFA must have these five parts in place. Each missing part can be a separate violation.

Enter how many reports were missed. Each missed report can count as its own violation.

How this works

This tool shows the legal maximum. FINTRAC decides the real amount case by case. It looks at how much harm the violation caused, your compliance history, and, under the new rules, your ability to pay. When a business completely fails an obligation, FINTRAC has said it will generally apply the maximum available penalty. Serious cases are also published on FINTRAC's website.
